Unveiling the 12 recordings that have won Gramophone Awards this year

After many hours of listening, Gramophone's critics have chosen the 12 recordings that will receive Gramophone Awards this year. Click here to view the winners list.

This year's shortlist of 72 recordings (which you can explore in full via our free digital magazine) featured many of the leading classical musicians of our time, including Maria João Pires, Thomas Adès, Pavel Haas Quartet, Grigory Sokolov, Claudio Abbado, Joyce DiDonato, Jonas Kaufmann, Andris Nelsons, Cecilia Bartoli and Riccardo Chailly, and from this shortlist the 12 winners were chosen.

The repertoire of the 12 Award-winning recordings is exceptionally diverse, ranging from Bach's Solo Cello Suites to Bruckner's Ninth Symphony, and from Schubert Lieder to Monteverdi's Vespri solenni per la festa di San Marco. To explore the complete list of this year's Gramophone Award-winning recordings, visit the Awards page.

On the evening of September 17 one of these 12 Award-winning recordings will be named our Recording of the Year at an event at St John's, Smith Square, London, at which we will also reveal, among others, our Artist of the Year, Young Artist of the Year, Label of the Year and the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. There will be live coverage on this website and on Gramophone's Facebook and Twitter accounts, so make sure you are following Gramophone for all the latest news. It's the classical music event of the year – don't miss it!

The Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2015 are presented in association with EFG International and Qobuz.
